A Guide to Spankers & Ticklers

Spankers and spanking increases blood flow, making the skin all the more sensitive to touch whilst at the same time releasing endorphins which bring about feelings of euphoria and wellbeing. Browse our exciting range to discover perfect paddles, wondrous whips and climaxing crops - because life is always a little more fun when you’re a little more naughty!

What's the difference?

  • Feather Ticklers - An ideal introduction to bondage play and BDSM. Designed to increase our sense perception, ticklers are the perfect introduction to spanking. Our skin is the most sensitive part of the body so when we increase its perception, we increase our pleasure. Use the tickler to deliver shivers of anticipation as its gentle touch makes the skin tingle with delight.
  • Spanking Paddles - Whilst our hands make perfectly good spanking tools, introducing a paddle can add further excitement. Spanking paddles come in a variety of sizes, materials and textures so you are sure to find one perfect for you. With a broader impact area, they deliver satisfying blows time after time. So simple to use, you can control the level of intensity easily - making sure both you and your lover enjoy a spanking good time!
  • Whips, Crops and Canes - With a much smaller impact area, these toys are designed for couples looking to add a higher level of intensity to their play. Whips, crops and canes will all deliver a short, sharp strike with far more bite than most spanking paddles.
  • Floggers - These are the most versatile of the spanking tools, enabling you to impart every sensation from a soft stroke to an eye-watering lashing.

How to give a good spanking

  • Establish a safe word before you begin – this way you can both stop if one of you feels uncomfortable. Safewords prevent any confusion in the heat of role play. Make a promise that when the safe word is used play stops immediately.
  • If you are new to spanking, try with your hands first before reaching for a paddle, whip or crop. Cup your hand slightly, with your fingers together and spank lightly in an upward motion. In the beginning, spank the areas of the body that are more fleshy such as the thighs, the butt and the “thutt” (where the thighs and butt meet). Fleshy areas are safer and are less likely to leave tell-tale marks. To avoid injury, never spank on bones such as the spine or hips. Joints should be avoided too, such as the back of the knees, and never spank over the kidneys.
  • Introducing spanking paddles will vary the experience further with unique textures, styles and shapes. Paddles are ideal for beginners or those couples wanting less pain, as they have a broader impact area. Whips and crops focus the impact on a much smaller area thus are more suitable for couples looking for a stinging sensation along with the pleasure-pain vibes.
  • Floggers are a fabulously versatile tool to add to your erotic play - particularly for couples who like the idea of the power play but aren't into the pain so much. A flogger can be used similarly to a feather tickler to stroke and tickle the sensitive areas of the body. Adding a pair of handcuffs or a blindfold can heighten the experience even further.

Experiment, but also care...

  • Vary the speed at which you spank, the impact levels and where you use the paddle, whip or crop. How close you hold these to the body of your partner will vary the sensation also, so talk to your partner about what they prefer. Experiment with your techniques - who cares if you're not an expert after one session! After all, practice makes perfect and you are going to have a lot of fun practising.
  • Aftercare is crucial. Whilst a good spanking is exceptionally arousing, the submissive partner can experience a “downer” once play ends and the endorphins wear off. Take time to reassure your partner of your love and respect. Lots of comforting hugs help you both to ensure only positive vibes remain. Naturally, physical aftercare may be needed. Spanking using paddles, whips and crops can be quite testing on the skin. After-spanking creams contain arnica to help reduce bruising but a cooling lotion or cool pack will do the job just as well.
